Overseer Theresa Andrews Demby is a devoted servant of God, hailing from Knoxville, TN. Her unwavering commitment to godly living was nurtured by her parents, family, and church, shaping her character from an early age. After extensive travels, she found a sense of belonging in Chesapeake, VA, where she underwent transformative training under her pastor, the late Dr. Edward Smith’s guidance.

From her teenage years, Overseer Demby has been driven by a deep compassion for those in need of life’s necessities. Overseer Demby embarked on a journey of helping individuals who lack food, clothing and shelter through missionary work and strategic giving. This heartfelt commitment remained steadfast as she took on the responsibility of overseeing the missionary efforts of the Vision Life Skills & Worship Center locally, nationally, and internationally. Her dedication in this continues.

Pastor Demby has attained a master’s in divinity from Regent University. Her current pursuit is completing her doctoral thesis. In addition to her masters, she has received certificates of understanding from the University of Jerusalem in ancient Hebrew Language and Hebraic background of the Bible.

Pastor Demby’s loving role extends beyond her ministry, as she embraces the cherished title of mother to Lynelle Demby and grandmother to Sariya, Iyanna (late), Alaina and Raymond. In times of adversity, she draws strength from her unwavering faith and finds hope in the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land.” It is with this steadfast belief that Overseer Theresa Andrews Demby continues to impact lives and inspire others through her faithful service to God.

Associate Pastor R. Orlando Sykes Sr. is married to Chanda J. Sykes.  They have been married for 27 years and are the parents of 3 children Destine’, Orlandra and Reginald Sykes II.

He is a Graduate of Bradwell Institute, Hinesville, Ga. and is working towards a BS degree from Norfolk State.

Associate Pastor Sykes has been working in the Hospitality Industry for the past 31 yrs., and is currently working at Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center, as the Food Service Supervisor.

He is a Lover of Soul Food as well as Food for the Soul. He is an avid reader, currently reading The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson and Don’t Quit in the Pit by Danette Crawford.

Associate Pastor Sykes was a member of St. Mark Deliverance Center Apostle Marion Jones pastor for twenty-five years before becoming a Member of Vision Ministries, under Overseer Theresa Demby for the last 15 years.

Associate Pastor Sykes works in several positions in Ministry: from serving as Music Administrator, Choir Director, Jabez Coordinator as well as working as the Elder’s Team Facilitator.

Pastor Sharon L. Dennis is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia and is an accomplished educator in the Portsmouth Public Schools District where she works with special needs children in the range from birth to the age of 21.

Pastor Dennis is a graduate of I. C. Norcom High School and continued her education at Regent University where she received both her Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Education.  She has been a member of Vision Ministries’ Life Skills and Worship Center since 2001.  She was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in 2003 and later ordained as an Elder in 2008.  She was elevated to her current position as Youth Pastor in 2015, overseeing all facets of the youth and young adult ministry.

More recently, in July 2014, Elder Dennis was wed to Glenn M. Dennis and together they have 7 children and 13 grandchildren.  As of March 2015, she defeated her fight with breast cancer and embraces her life with gratefulness and thanksgiving.  Her peace can be attributed to Luke 10:19 that helped her and her family in this trial of life.  “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
